This is a formal announcement to let you know that the website is back in working order after having been dead for quite for some time. We now have something that we can launch and we assure you that this is only the beginning. In the coming days, we'll be uploading a whole load of stuff like pictures and mp3 recordings of various live shows throughout the years. This will eventually stretch back all the way to our first show at Sirkús almost seven years ago. Whew! Thanks to our Canadian friend who made that available to us.

kimono will be heading out on a short tour in late April, early May this year. We will be starting off with a show as part of the Bad Taste show that is happening at the Palais des Beaux Arts, also known as Bozar. This mini-festival will be curated by Einar Örn Benediktsson (of Ghostigital) and Sjón (a renowned Icelandic poet). There will be plenty to see and do at the Bozar event so please do come and check it out if you'll be in Brussels at the end of April.

This is a heads up on the new kimono single, called "Wire", that was released today for digital download on grapewire.net. You can get the new song here. Wire is a new direction for us. One of many, actually. We hope you like it. This song is a teaser for our fourth album, which will be released some time in the future when we get around to making it. We're not lazy. Not exactly.

The rumours are true. Dóri has left kimono as of February this year to devote more time to painting. He's graduating from the art school this month and plans to continue his studies abroad. Dóri has been with kimono since before it was called kimono and even before that. As we would have wanted him to continue playing bass, we can honestly say that we have parted company due to artistic differences.
